Agreement to these terms
Rinston, formerly Linework, is an AI phone front desk. We provision US phone numbers so AI agents can answer calls and send and receive text messages for your business.
These terms govern your use of rinston.com, the account workspace, the phone numbers we provision, the agent API, and the MCP connector. In these terms, we and us mean [ENTITY NAME], which runs Rinston.
By creating an account or using Rinston, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Rinston for a business, you agree for that business and confirm you have authority to do so. If you do not agree, do not use Rinston.
We may change, add, or remove features. Some features may be limited or unavailable on your plan.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
Give us accurate information and keep it current.
You are responsible for all activity in your account, including activity by your team members and by anyone using your agent keys. Keep your password and agent keys secure. Tell us right away about any unauthorized use.
Phone numbers
We provision phone numbers through telecommunications carriers. You may use your numbers while your account is active and in good standing.
We may need to reclaim, replace, or change a number when a carrier, a regulator, or the law requires it. We will tell you when we can.
Porting a number in or out is subject to carrier rules and timelines, and may not always be possible. Numbers may be released after your account closes.
Messaging and calling rules
You are responsible for how you use your numbers. Get any consent the law requires before you call or text someone, and keep a record of that consent.
Follow every law and carrier rule that applies to you. These include the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and carrier 10DLC registration requirements.
Honor STOP and other opt-out requests right away. Do not send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content.
Carriers may filter or block messages. We may pause sending to protect the service or to comply with carrier rules.
Call transcription and consent
Draft for legal review
When Front Desk answers a call, xAI or OpenAI, depending on the number's voice setting, hears the call to answer it, and Rinston keeps a transcript of it.
Some states, such as [STATE], require every party on a call to consent before it is recorded. [CONFIRM: whether transcription counts as recording.] You are responsible for knowing whether that applies to your business and your callers, and for getting any consent the law requires.
You are responsible for the disclosure Front Desk speaks at the start of each call. [CONFIRM: minimum content of the disclosure, and whether [ENTITY NAME] requires specific wording.]
Text message program
Draft for legal review
[ENTITY NAME] runs Rinston, which lets businesses text their customers from a business phone number.
Program description. Texts come from the business you contacted or that contacted you, such as replies to your questions and updates about your call, booking, or job. [CONFIRM: message types for each 10DLC campaign.]
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How you opt in: [OPT-IN METHOD].
Reply STOP to stop receiving texts from a number. Reply HELP for help, or email support@rinston.com. [CONFIRM: STOP and HELP handled by the carrier]
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
No emergency calls
Rinston is not a replacement for 911. It does not support calls to 911 or any other emergency service. Keep another way to reach emergency services.
AI agents and connectors
You can connect AI agents, such as ChatGPT through the Rinston app and MCP connector. An agent acts on your behalf, only with the numbers and permissions you grant.
An agent can only use the numbers you choose, and only for what you allow: reading, texting, or calling. For each agent you choose whether its texts and calls wait for approval or go out on their own, and you set daily limits on texts, spending, and calling time. Only a workspace owner or admin can approve a text or call that is waiting. An agent cannot approve its own requests.
You are responsible for actions taken by agents you authorize, including messages they send from your numbers. You can change or revoke an agent's access at any time in your account workspace.
AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review it before you rely on it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Rinston to:
- Break any law or carrier rule, or help someone else do so.
- Send spam, phishing, or messages without required consent.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or defraud anyone.
- Spoof caller ID or hide who is calling or texting.
- Send content that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights.
- Interfere with the service, test it for weaknesses without our permission, or get around usage limits or security controls.

Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You agree to pay the fees for your plan and any usage charges, at the prices shown at checkout or in your account workspace.
Fees do not include taxes unless we say so. You are responsible for applicable taxes.
If a payment fails, we may suspend the service until it is paid.
We may change prices with notice. A change applies from your next billing period, unless your plan terms say otherwise.

Third-party services
Rinston relies on third parties, such as Telnyx for calls and text messages. It also works with integrations you choose to connect. Their own terms govern those services.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services.
Your content and our property
You keep your rights in the content you put into Rinston, including messages, call content, and transcripts.
You give us permission to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service for you. You confirm you have the rights and consents needed for us to do so.
Rinston, its software, and its branding belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Rinston and close your account at any time.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, fail to pay, or create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if a carrier or regulator requires it. We will tell you when we can.
Terms that by their nature should last beyond termination will survive it, including fees owed, disclaimers, limits of liability, and indemnification.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We provide Rinston "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every call will connect, or that every message will be delivered.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Rinston is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business. This includes missed calls and undelivered messages.
Our total liability for any claim related to Rinston is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Rinston against claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your use of the service, your content, the actions of agents you authorize, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict of laws rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in your account workspace before it takes effect. If you keep using Rinston after that, you accept the updated terms.
