Overview
Rinston, formerly Linework, is an AI phone front desk. We provision US phone numbers so AI agents can answer calls and send and receive text messages for your business.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to rinston.com, the Rinston account workspace, the Rinston agent API, and the Rinston MCP connector, including the Rinston app in ChatGPT. In this policy, we and us mean [ENTITY NAME], which runs Rinston.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us, information the service creates when it handles calls and texts for you, and basic technical data.
- Account information. Your name, email address, and sign-in details. Supabase handles authentication for us.
- Workspace information. Your workspaces, team members, roles, and settings.
- Phone numbers. The numbers assigned to your workspace and their status.
- Call and text records. The phone numbers on each side, timestamps, call duration, and delivery status.
- Call and message content. The text of messages, and call content and transcripts where the service processes them to answer or route a call.
- Connected integrations. Data from services you choose to connect, limited to what you authorize.
- Agent keys and connector credentials. We store them so that we can verify an agent when it connects.
- Billing information. Stripe processes payments for us. We keep your plan and billing status. We do not store full card numbers.
- Device and log data. Your IP address, browser type, and the time of each request.
How we use information
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the content of your calls or messages for advertising.
We use information to:
- Provide Rinston and your account workspace.
- Route calls and text messages to and from your numbers.
- Operate the AI agents and connectors you set up.
- Keep the service secure and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
- Bill you for your plan and usage.
- Answer your support requests.
- Comply with the law and with carrier rules.
AI agents and connectors
You can connect an AI agent to Rinston, such as ChatGPT through the Rinston app and MCP connector. You choose which numbers the agent can use and what it may do.
When you grant those permissions, the agent can read the numbers assigned to it and the related messages. If you also allow texting, it can send text messages from those numbers. If you also allow calling, it can place calls from those numbers.
An agent can only use the numbers you choose, and only for what you allow: reading, texting, or calling. For each agent you choose whether its texts and calls wait for approval or go out on their own, and you set daily limits on texts, spending, and calling time. Only a workspace owner or admin can approve a text or call that is waiting. An agent cannot approve its own requests.
You can change or revoke an agent's access at any time in your account workspace. Once an agent reads information, the agent's provider handles it under its own privacy policy.
Service providers
We use these service providers to run Rinston. They process information for us to perform these functions.
Each number has a voice setting that picks the provider that answers its Front Desk calls. If that provider is unavailable, the call goes to Rinston's default provider.
- Telnyx. Telephony and messaging. Telnyx carries calls and text messages and provides phone numbers.
- xAI. Grok voice answers Front Desk calls when the number's voice setting, or Rinston's default, picks it. It hears the caller, speaks the replies, and transcribes what the caller says.
- OpenAI. OpenAI Realtime answers Front Desk calls when the number's voice setting, or Rinston's default, picks it. It hears the caller and speaks the replies.
- [CONFIRM: Anthropic, if Claude is enabled as a voice brain]
- Cloudflare. Hosting for the Rinston website and account workspace. [CONFIRM: whether the processor is Cloudflare or the operator of the Sites host that deploys to it.]
- Hostinger. Servers that run our call-handling service.
- Supabase. Authentication and database.
- Stripe. Payments and billing.
Integrations you connect
When you connect one of these services, we exchange the information you authorize with it. Its own privacy policy covers what it does with that information.
- Notion.
- Wix.
- HubSpot.
- Salesforce.
When we share information
We share information only in these cases:
- With the service providers listed above, to run Rinston.
- With phone carriers, as needed to deliver your calls and text messages.
- With the AI agents and integrations you connect, within the permissions you grant.
- When the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Rinston, including to stop fraud and abuse.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. This policy keeps applying to information transferred that way.
- With your consent.
People who call or text a business
Draft for legal review
When someone calls a business that uses Rinston, [ENTITY NAME] processes that caller's information for the business.
When Front Desk answers a call, it tells the voice provider to begin by speaking a disclosure that the business writes for that line. [CONFIRM: the disclosure must tell the caller they are speaking with an AI and that the call is transcribed.]
We collect the caller's phone number, the time and length of the call, what the caller says, and a transcript of the call. xAI or OpenAI, depending on the number's voice setting, hears the call to answer it.
The business chooses how long call transcripts are kept, from 1 to 365 days. If it does not choose, they are kept for 90 days. Voicemail recordings and transcripts are kept for 1 to 90 days, as the business sets.
[CALLER RIGHTS: how a caller asks to access or delete their information, and whether the request goes to the business or to [ENTITY NAME].]
How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active.
After you close your account, or when you ask us to delete information, we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period. We keep some records longer when the law, billing records, or abuse prevention requires it.
We keep server logs for a limited period and then delete them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Keep your password and agent keys private. Tell us right away if you think your account or an agent key has been compromised.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can do some of this yourself in your account workspace.
You can revoke an AI agent's access at any time in your account workspace.
To make a request, email support@rinston.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity first. We honor requests as applicable law requires, and we do not treat you differently for making one.
Text messages
Businesses use Rinston to send and receive text messages. Message and data rates may apply.
Anyone who receives a text from a Rinston number can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. [CONFIRM: STOP and HELP handled by the carrier]
We do not share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
Children
Rinston is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@rinston.com and we will delete it.
